Attentive: Logo Design

Attentive.ai analyzes live security footage and intelligently detects malicious activity in a way that’s never been possible before. Their work lies at the conjunction of video based security (CCTV cameras) and artificial intelligence. This post narrates the story behind the logo design of the cutting edge product & its capabilities.

The Story

As a adjective attentive is paying attention. The product itself is intelligent, futuristic & sophisticated as it learns and then act according to situation. Exclamation mark has become signifier of attention, owing to extensive use of the same in digital world. During research period, commonly observed security camera illustration in surveillance places is shown below.

Also Black represent authority, sophistication & Red represent alertness and reaction. The name being catchy & memorable, presenting it with creative typography for creating strong brand recognition came out as best option.

The Logo

• With ‘!’, the logo reflects the alertness/activeness feature of attentive.ai system.
• Color highlights in logo depicts the detection of anything unusual by artificial intelligence.

• The wordmark uses customised san serif font Futura, having futuristic appearance.
• The physical product (security camera) is cleverly incorporated in ‘E’ of the wordmark.

The Beginning
